This is set in Motihari, Bihar, where Balraj balances an apple on Trishna’s head who then runs to her mother Padmini (Pallavi Purohit), who is Balraj’s second wife and is seven months pregnant. Balraj’s mother Ammaji (Shagufta Ali) calls up Guruji to predict her son’s future. Guruji (Lalit Parimoo) tells Ammaji that if Padmini delivers a baby boy, then Balraj will flourish but if a baby girl is born, he will perish! Ammaji then spares no efforts and calls for Badi Dai who predicts that Balraj and Padmini will have a baby boy.
